Final Fantasy VI/III

Here are a few tips to make your experience with this great game just that much easier.

Vanish/Doom (X-Zone): A cheap trick that I myself have used on more than one occasion. Have one of your characters use the "Vanish" spell, and another use "Doom" or "X-Zone" right afterward. Or, if you have a Gem Box, then one character can do the whole thing by him/herself.

Unlimited Economizers (or Ribbons): After getting the Ragnarok Esper, head towards Jurassic Park (the forest north of the Veldt). When you fight Brachasoars, use the Esper against them, and sometimes they might become Economizers (or Ribbons, I'm not sure which, but either one is good, seeing as how Ribbons cancel out all status ailments).

Perfect Relic Combo: This is really a BIG lifesaver. If you equip a Gem Box and Economizer (leave the spelling alone), then you can cast two spells for one MP each. And, if you cast "Quick," you can cast four spells.

GoGo and Umaro: Both in the World of Ruin. To get GoGo, go to Triangle Island and search for a monster called a "Zone Eater." Let him suck you up and you'll appear inside a cave (how that got inside a monster, I'll never know). Get all the way through, and he'll/she'll/it'll join your party. To get Umaro, fly to Narshe. Go towards the cave where Locke pulled Terra out at the beginning and walk through to the Moogle room. Talk to Mog and he'll go back to the Falcon (the airship). Go behind where he was standing and press A (or X, if you have FF Anthology). You'll find a Moogle Charm Relic, which'll keep you from fighting random battles. Now, go get him from the Falcon, and head back towards where Vicks, Wedge, and Terra were in their Magi-Tek armor and walk through the lowest path towards the top of the mountain. After fighting the Dragon their (one of the eight you'll want to beat), you'll probably want to heal. Then, you up towards the Esper, Tritoch, and battle it. If you defeat it, it'll join your asset list of them. Then, jump off the cliff directly behind where it was, and walk through the cave that's their. When you get to a pole with a skull on top of it, examine it and you'll pull an Esper from it. Then, Umaro will charge out and attack you. Be careful, because when he uses a Green Cherry on himself, his defense will go up about three-fold. After you beat him, Mog will talk him into joining your party, because Umaro's not the smartest thing around. Remember, you MUST have Mog in your party to make this work.

Ragnarok: He he... uber-powerful. Not just powerful, but POW-ER-FUL! It can teach you one of the (if not THE) best spells in the game, "Ultima." The Esper, anyway. Well, to get it: After you retrieve Locke from the Phoenix Cave, fly to Narshe. When you get there, have him unlock the door to the weapons shop. There will be an old man sitting at the table. Talk to him and he'll give you the choice of either an strange, shining stone (the Esper), or to forge it into a sword (duh! What do you think that is?). They're both very good, but the Esper is slightly better in my opinion, because you have a chance to transform enemies into items.

Moogle Charm: To get this, find Mog in the caves of Narshe and talk to him. He'll join your party and walk off. Now, talk directly to the wall behind where he was standing. You'll get the Moogle Charm Relic, which'll allow you to skip random battles.
